Growth

One change that I actually like about the way movie theaters are run is the pre-previews that they show. Sometimes it's just a random slide show of ads. Sometimes it's several short clips from movies and commercials. But regardless, it beats sitting there staring at the stagnant lights on the screen and listening to silly movie-music. "Movie for the blind," as one of my childhood friends used to call it.

One of these pre-previews I watched recently was about the new Fast and the Furious movie. As they went from one quick interview of its cast to another, I couldn't help but notice that Lil' Bow Wow was just referenced as "Bow Wow" in this movie.

I guess by having the "Lil'" part of this name removed, it signifies that he's grown up. Older, more mature. No longer a little kid playing around.

But I can't believe this kid takes himself seriously enough to think that dropping the Lil' part is going to do any good.

Lil' Bow Wow kind of worked because when he was a little kid running under Snoop Dogg's wings, it was kind of cute. But that name can't be matured into anything that sounds tough, sounds mature, or sounds credible. He should have just changed his name into something completely different. Anything other than just calling himself Bow Wow.

Bow Wow? What person in their right mind wants to be called that? He's got to find himself another agent.
