Tomorrow marks the start of the 2006 hurricane season.

Nathalie and I don't have renter's insurance, flood insurance, wind insurance, or hurricane insurance because there isn't an insurance company that has any interest in insuring us. Allstate and State Farm just laughed at us when we asked them about their policies for southeast Louisiana. The state government said they would put us on some kind of waiting list, but I haven't heard anything since I last talked to them in December.

We'll see what happens.
