Storytime

An amazing number of people showed up at the French Quarter to ring in the new year. Also noteworthy was the amount of fog that was present. In fact, the fog was so intense that by 11pm you couldn't see beyond 20 yards. This resulted in the firework portion of the New Year's Eve celebration being cancelled. Mainly because nobody could see anything. It was a bit disappointing.

Also making their presence known were the military. I haven't quite gotten used to seeing all the military vehicles and troops running around New Orleans just yet.
