[Scene: In the OR, preparing to operate on a 4 year old girl.]
Anesthesia Resident: So what's that on her face?
Me: It's a hemangioma. For some reason it's getting bigger.
[A hemangioma is a benign mass of blood vessels that usually regresses spontaneously.]
Anesthesia Resident: So how are you going to cut it off?
Me: Acutally, I'm going to use a CO2 laser and fry it.
Nurse: [peeking over] I used to have one of those on my boob, but it went away.
Anesthesia Resident: Oh yeah? Let me see, sometimes they recur...
Anesthesia Resident: So what's that on her face?
