Whistler actually shut down in late Februrary for several weeks due to unseasonably low snowfall. We had prepaid for our resort rooms months ago, so we were quite worried that snowboarding might not happen, but Whistler had received 5 feet of fresh snow within the week of our arrival, making for great snowboarding conditions.
