Matrimony
Nathalie and I sat around last night trying to come up with the music we wanted to play during the various portions of the wedding. We both agreed that the traditional wedding march and the lame-o bridal processional music, often set to a somber and depressing organ, will not be played at any point in any context at our wedding. Instead we chose several traditional and modern songs that best represented our individual personalities and relationship.
While searching online for an mp3 of various songs, we came across a website of a DJ company that listed the various songs that have been played at weddings. Most interesting were the songs played during the intro of the bride and groom. Among the more mundane classical pieces were the following:
+ Let's Get Ready to Rumble - Jock Jams
+ (Rock You Like a) Hurricane - Scorpion
+ Music from FOX NFL Football
+ Music from "Rocky (Gonna Fly Now)"
+ Various fight songs from various colleges
