Mining

I stepped into the elevator to find a man loudly yapping away on his cellphone, despite signs posted throughout the hospital that forbids the use of cellphones due to electrical interference with patient monitors. Disgusted, I looked away and noticed his 3 year old boy standing next to him, holding onto his father's leg.

During an elevator ride up to the 9th floor, I watched the little boy enthusiastically dig out a booger from his nose. He then looked around, not quite sure what to do with his newly found treasure. I prayed that his mouth would not be an end point. Unable to find a suitable spot, he slyly rubbed it off on his father's pant leg.

I looked up at the boy's father, who was still engaged in a conversation via his cell phone. I smiled at the boy and gave him a wink. Good Boy!
