Mardi Gras

Me, Nathalie, and Jamie at The Superior Grill.

My partying days are long over, but it's hard to stay and home and be a homebody during Carnival time and miss out on all the parades and parties leading up to Mardi Gras. The locals never hit the French Quarter during Mardi Gras because it's just filled with obnoxiously drunk and stupid tourists. Instead, we hit the local unknown hotspots along St. Charles Avenue parade route, where you can party safely, enjoy great views of the parades, and catch more beads than you could ever want. All without having to show any skin.

However, it doesn't hurt to be pretty. Within 5 minutes of getting to the parade route, Nathalie had amassed 5 pounds of beads. All she had to do was smile and wave and people would throw beads to her. As a random parade goer stated, "She's very blonde and very tall."
