Permit

The law gives a 10 day grace period after moving to update the driver's license with the new address. I admit that I had waited a bit longer than 10 days before heading over to the DMV to update my license. The motivation to get my driver's license updated had nothing to do with the law or whatever penalty that came with breaking that law. Rather, I had grown weary of saying, "No, I've moved. My new address is..." everytime someone had to see my ID and write some stuff down.

That, and my license also listed me as an organ donor, a decision that I reversed a while ago. We'll get into that discussion sometime later.

Interestingly, no matter how hard I searched the internet, I could not find a single document that listed the repercussions of breaking the law of not updating a driver's license within 10 days of moving. The ladies at the DMV had no ideas either. I thought about asking the trooper sitting in his car by the DMV office, but I thought perhaps there's no real reason to stir that pot.
