My friend Laurie gave birth to a little boy yesterday. Or was that 2 days ago? He weighed something along 8 pounds and so many ounces, and was quite a number of inches long, and has lots of soft hair on his little head. Anyway, what's more important is that he's little, he's cute, he wiggles around, and was born healthy.

"Did you hold it?" asked Nathalie.

"Uh..., no." Holding other people's babies is just not my thing.
