The holiday schedule has begun. For the next two weeks, the hospital will be run by a skeleton crew of residents as half of us alternate vacations to celebrate either Christmas or New Years.

This doesn't mean that patients will receive substandard care due to fewer number of available residents. It just means that the remaining residents who are covering for those on vacation will be working twice as hard.
