Merry Christmas

Happy Birthday Jesus.

Thanks for a wonderful year, keeping my family and friends safe, helping us meet our needs, and for all the joy I've experienced this past year.

I find it quite disheartening that people have lost the symbolism behind Christmas and are too involved in the commercialism of it all. Not only that, the recent ridiculous movement of removing all references to you and Christmas and saying "Happy Holidays" in order not to offend non-Christians is simply retarded.

How is it that christians are no longer allowed to openly celebrate the birth of their God, and we must sanitize it so some pagan won't be offended by our celebration? It's as if we asked blacks to rename Martin Luther King, Jr. day to Non-White Activist Day in order not to offend any white supremacists.

Jesus, I'd be upset if some dorks in the government started renaming my special day and prevented your followers from celebrating your special day, so if you feel the need to smite somebody, we'd understand.

I hope you have a great birthday. Thanks for trying to make it snow in New Orleans. The few flurries were enough to remind me that anything is possible.
