Forgotten

I never placed much thought into slow cookers. But the concept is great: place a bunch of ingredients in a pot, go away, come back when you're hungry and there's a hot meal ready to be eaten.

One caveat being that the fluid content of the ingredients doesn't dissipate during the cooking process. I tried to make ribs once via the crock pot and I ended up with barbecue rib soup. Keeping this concept in mind, the chicken stew I made yesterday turned out perfectly well.
