Conundrum

When describing something relatively rare, it may be described as something that doesn't grow on trees. So you would figure that stuff that grew on trees, being relatively abundant, would be fairly cheap. However, it's interesting that when you go to the local grocer and look at the stuff they sell that does grow on trees, the opposite is true.

Just something I was thinking about as I loaded my cart with fresh fruit earlier today.
