The Depot

After a 6 month hiatus from exercising, my body has begun to take on the form of a fat slug. So, I'm back in the gym trying to create a calorie deficit. Easier said then done.

I've decided that swimming would be the fastest way to reduce my girth, but I am obviously not designed for swimming. There seems to be an overly abundant amount of arms and leg flailing on my part with minimal progression through the water. It probably looks ridiculous, and I could probably benefit from a refresher lesson or two, but I am content knowing that I am definitely burning some calories. However, it remains that the lack of distance covered in comparison to the amount of effort I've engaged is a disappointment. Especially when the older gentleman in the next lane is lapping me.
